Abstract
A 78-year-old woman showed signs of left-right disorientation, finger agnosia, acalculia, and agraphia. Brain MRI revealed ischemic lesion of left frontal operculum. The lesion in the left angular gyrus causes Gerstmann¡¯s syndrome, however, there are reports suggesting that lesions in some other areas of brain are responsible for Gerstmann¡¯s syndrome. We describe a Gerstmann¡¯s syndrome derived from a lesion in the left frontal operculum, which may have different mechanisms from the ones caused by lesion in left angular gyrus.
